Life Water


The most important thing your student athlete can be doing is drinking water. At the conclusion of this article you will know the importance of water and what your athlete can be doing to prep himself for his future.

 

BENEFITS

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

According to the CDC and other medical professionals your athlete needs water to help regulate their temperature especially in hot weather and when they are active. Football or not your son will be outside in the heat being active.


JOINT LUBRICATION

Your athletes body is going to go through many repetitions be it lifting or running. It is very important to make sure all their joints are functioning in the most optimal conditions. Drinking water will help provide their joint with the right environment for their joints.

 

TAKE ACTION

INTAKE

Dehydration occurs before they ever go to practice. Follow the following protocols to prevent major dehydration injuries.

  • Carry a water bottle with them and drink throughout the day.

  • Try to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water. This equates to four standard 16-ounce bottles from the store
